About the Artist - Scott Shields is an award winning illustrator and graphic designer based out of Toronto, Ontario. He is recognized by his work with watercolour, as well as his sharp, tongue-in-cheek, political illustrations which often focus on social issues and institutional corruption. Throughout his freelance career, Scott has had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including book reviews, website redesigns, magazine covers, social media promo, band merchandise and brand development.
Most recently, Scott has channelled his love of Dungeons And Dragons and Warhammer into a line of fantasy greeting cards, now available at The Sword & Board in Toronto, Ontario, Enter the Battlefield in Newmarket, Ontario, and his online shop.

Process - When collaborating with a client, each project begins with preliminary sketches detailing key concepts and overall design. From there, changes are discussed and the selected ideas are refined.
Using a plethora of media, including water colour, gouache, acrylics, inks, charcoal, graphite, and the occasional found object, the final artwork is created!

Clients - Scott has had the pleasure of working with: The Lever, The Advocates’ Journal, Truthout, The Monitor, Canadian Business Growth Fund, BeerAdvocate Magazine, SFWeekly, trumplemonde, Baby Labour, Sedge, Late Fakirs, Tiny Lady/Little Baby, The Knaves Jolly, and a number of private clients on custom family and pet portraits.
